Los Angeles Lakers vs. Orlando Magic

This is the first back to back game for the Lakers this season. In the first half of this game, there wasn't even one Laker that had double figures. To top that off, in the first half of this game, not one Laker took free throws. That was deflating enough that I almost didn't want to write "The Scoop" tonight, but for some reason, I couldn't resist. Maybe it's the fact that Kobe Bryant is playing in this game. Oh, that's right, Kobe's not playing tonight either. Kobe's been out for two games now, which is beyond ridiculous in my opinion. Okay, I'm gonna try and stay positive, and watch the rest of this Lakers game. Metta World Peace played pretty well this first half, despite his sore back. D'Angelo Russell came up pretty aggressive, and we all know at this point that I love to see that! Orlando had 10 offensive rebounds in the first half. The Lakers are shooting 47% overall.

The game is staying pretty close in the second quarter. Both teams are pretty much going back-and-forth down court, with neither team getting that much of an advantage. I can honestly say that for the most part of this game, it hasn't been all that exciting. There haven't been any superstar plays or slam dunks to speak of. So I might as well just write about Kobe Bryant. For all of the Kobe haters out there, saying that the Lakers play better without Kobe, that's so false. If last night's game didn't prove that theory to be wrong, nothing will.

Lou Williams just got fouled from the outside. He's not that great of a shooter in general, but he's one hell of a free-throw shooter. Just as I said that, he missed one of his free throws. Williams made 2/3 free throws. Still good, still good... The Lakers just got their first team foul, and there are two minutes left in the third quarter. Nick Young just made a nice, nothing but net shot. Orlando has 44 bench points now. As we head into the fourth quarter, Channing Frye hits a 23 foot 2 pointer, right at the buzzer! Nick Young makes a 24 foot three point jumper. Sweet, that's the way it's done Swaggy!

We're in the fourth quarter now and the score is tied at 81. Speaking of Kobe, I sincerely hope he plays in the next game. Our new Lakers seem to be needing a little direction. They need a leader on the floor. It's just not the same without Kobe. Lou Williams is back at the free-throw line, making some shots. The game is tied, and we're halfway through the fourth quarter. This is the kind of game that usually ends up going into overtime. Julius Randle just made an easy dunk, helping the Lakers take the lead. D'Angelo Russell just made a sweet driving layup. The Orlando Magic had an immense amount of offensive rebounds tonight. The game is tied once again at 99, with 30 seconds left in the game. Game over with a final score of 101-99 Orlando.

Roy Hibbert had 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist. D'Angelo Russell had 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Louis Williams had 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Larry Nance Jr. had 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist. Julius Randle had 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. #GoLakers
