The Lakers have been playing better defensively as the season is progressing. Jeremy Lin has been turning it up lately (perhaps, a little too much). Tarik Black has improved his game since he's been in the starting lineup. Our Lakers starters tonight are Ryan Kelly, Jeremy Lin, Tarik Black, Wesley Johnson, and Jordan Clarkson. Jordan Clarkson made the first two points for the Lakers in this game, followed by the next Lakers basket as well. Jordan Clarkson tried to make his second basket and missed it, getting his own rebound, making his shot. Jeremy Lin just made a nice, nothing but net, three pointer. The Lakers have stayed in the lead this whole first quarter. The first quarter ending with a score of 24-17 Lakers.
Jabari Brown is at the free-throw line now making one of two shots. I'd love to see Jabari Brown push himself a little harder. He has a lot of potential. Tarik Black just got his third personal foul and is heading to the bench. The Lakers are playing some good offensive basketball tonight. Jordan Clarkson is playing really well. I love seeing him turn on his aggressive side and play hard. I see Clarkson becoming a better and better player. This kid has got crazy potential and can really help out the Lakers next season. Jeremy Lin on the other hand, can enjoy his good stats on another team, and that would be fine with me. Why do these sportscasters say, "Jeremy Lin and the Lakers?" It's Kobe Bryant and the Lakers and while Kobe is temporarily out, they should say, "Jordan Clarkson and the Lakers." As of right now, Jordan Clarkson is boss, not Jeremy Lin. The Lakers have shown some great offensive rebounding in this first half. We're heading into halftime with a score of 48–46 Lakers.
Ryan Kelly just read the defense really well and threw one down. Lin just got the ball to Clarkson, putting it in the hoop. Jordan Clarkson seems to see the floor really well. He's showing some great athleticism lately. He moves around the court, always finding the best spots to be, at the right times. His game has definitely improved. Tarik Black can use some practice with his free throws. When you're an NBA player, you should never miss layups or free throws. The Raptors are now up by five with 3:20 left to go in the third. Jabari Brown just used his body and went straight through a lot of contact, making a nice basket. The Lakers just got their 14th offensive rebound. Jabari Brown just made a couple of free throws. The Raptors now have their biggest lead in the game. Jeremy Lin just got another basket, making a baby jumper.
Jonas Valanciunas has stably been the leading scorer of the game with a whopping 19 points. Do you remember the good old days, when a true NBA player like Kobe Bryant would score that many points in the first quarter or even at the half?! It's no wonder why so many of the Raptors fans are yawning and the Lakers fans are not even watching. Even if the Lakers are supposed to tank right now (not that they are... thank you Lin), they should at least be putting on some type of show, so it's watchable basketball. Having said that, it's good to watch Jordan Clarkson and Jabari Brown improving their game and hopefully they'll be with us next season. Wesley Johnson just made a flat, side of the board, ugly shot and missed. Damn, that was ugly. The Raptors are on a 10–0 run.
The Scoop is pretty simple tonight... Either the Lakers are tanking or they are playing some ugly bball. The Lakers have ten missed shots in a row. Alright, I've said enough... tank, tank. The Raptors have made 7 three pointers tonight. James Johnson has played some very efficient basketball, getting some nice stats. Jordan Clarkson is at the line, shooting his first couple of free throws of the game, making both. Raptors take the win with a final score of 94–83. Jeremy Lin had 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jordan Clarkson had 14 points and 4 rebounds. Jabari Brown had 7 points and 1 rebound. #GoLakers
