Smiling with Style

Living in Los Angeles, we tend to get carried away with labels, brand names, make up, etc. and sometimes we forget the most important thing in looking good... to smile. An old movie called Annie has a song which is kind of adorable. The song is called "You're Never Fully Dressed without a Smile." It's important to always look your best, but that beautiful smile is what will win the heart, not that sexy, black mini (I don't think). I love the saying by Marilyn Monroe, "A smile is the best makeup a girl could wear."

Another example of beauty being less superficial would be Shania Twain singing a song called, "Man! I Feel like a Woman." Her lyrics in this song are pretty sick! It's a song about feeling good in anything you wear, feeling free, being yourself, and feeling confident. In feeling that way, regardless of whether you're in a men's shirt or whatever, it's about embracing your femininity and feeling amazing in any outfit, despite the label. It's a song about having fun, and it shows that even when a woman is dressed in a man's shirt, she can look sexy.

I think it's good to play with your style and keep it interesting. Most men tend to like a lot of variety. It keeps things interesting. That variety can be provided by one woman, so it's not a negative thing. I'm just saying to add a little spice, not to necessarily do a 360 in an appearance change. Some women would likely be pleasantly surprised, not realizing that men don't really care about the labels, as much as they care about how you wear, what you wear. I'm generalizing, of course, some men know and care about labels more than women.

Everyone prefers to be around people that are easy going and fun. Anxiety is not sexy, nor is being materialistic. So remember to be yourself, thrive in the moment, smile and live your life to the fullest, whether you're wearing Gucci shoes or the other ones.
