Los Angeles Lakers vs. Detroit Pistons

First quarter started out a bit mellow compared to the last game. Kobe Bryant didn't seem to be too aggressive at first. He appeared to be having an off shooting night, but we'll see. The score stayed pretty close throughout the quarter, but looked a bit sloppy.

In the second quarter, the Lakers seemed to be a little more enthusiastic and aggressive. The Pistons making it hard to get much of a lead, keeping up with the Lakers energy. Nick Young working the opposition getting a few "and ones." The game remained pretty close throughout the second quarter as well. Kobe stats in the first half are beyond disappointing with 0 points (yes, 0), 5 assists, and 1 rebound. Going into halftime at a score of 46-45 Lakers in the lead.

So let me get this straight... Kobe Bryant achieves a new phenomenal status of 6,000 career assists, so now he's not gonna shoot the ball?!!! You've got to be kidding me!! What is he thinking! Kobe, you're not an assist guy. Shoot the ball for the love of God! Honestly, as soon as I wrote that, Kobe came on strong! Damn, I'm lucky (and humble)!! In this third quarter, the Lakers came out and dominated the Pistons for all that they had. Towards the end of the third quarter, the Lakers get their biggest lead in the season, flying ahead by 20 points. Third quarter ending at 81-65. The Lakers really seem to be enjoying this.

The Lakers tried maintaining the big lead in the fourth quarter, but to no avail. Kobe gets ten turnovers at this point. Good Lord! We struggled a bit up and down court, yet we maintained the lead. Kobe stats were 12 points, 13 assists, and 5 rebounds. Nick Young had 19 points and 1 rebound. Wayne Ellington had 9 points and 2 rebounds. Jordan Hill had 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 1 assist. The Lakers grand finale ended with a win of 106-96 Lakers. Looking forward to three in a row! #GoLakers
